Un evento que contó con la presencia del ministro de Agricultura y desarrollo rural, Andrés Valencia; el gobernador de Antioquia, Luis Pérez Gutiérrez; el alcalde de Sonsón, Obed de Jesús Zuluaga; la embajadora de Nueva Zelandia en Colombia, Lucy Duncan, todas las autoridades del municipio, funcionarios del Ministerio de Comercio Exterior, productores vinculados a la empresa, PROCOLOMBIA, Analdex, CorpoHass y todos los funcionarios, directivos y socios del Grupo Westfalia de Sudáfrica, así como AGRICOM de Chile, propietarios de Westfalia Fruit Colombia y Westfalia Farms Colombia.

The new facility is the largest and most advanced avocado processing plant in the country, featuring the latest grading and sorting technologies of world-leading packhouse technology provider Compac.

New Compac field research unit to study the fresh produce industry’s most challenging issues

Drakensburg, South Africa, August 27, 2018Compac, part of TOMRA Food, has launched a new Field Research Unit which can be deployed directly into the field to research the industry’s most challenging fresh produce issues. The new state-of-the-art laboratory, which is equipped with a broad range of sophisticated analytical sensor technologies from across TOMRA, is the first of its kind for the fresh produce industry. The Field Research Unit was launched at the 10th Citrus Research International Symposium in Drakensburg, South Africa (August 19-22) and begins customer-based testing next week.
